Industry Moves: January 2019

Staffing platform Catapult has appointed Hemal Joshi for the role of Chief Revenue Officer. Hemal is the former Head of Inside Sales at Onfido and Sales Team Leader at Tristpilot.

Nutmeg has appointed Lisa Rodwell at its new Chief Customer Officer. She previously held senior positions at internet giants such as Yahoo!, eBay and Moo.com.

Apple has appointed Richard Sharp as its Director of Engineering. He previously served as CTO for Shazam.

Activision Blizzard has made key leadership appointments to lead three of the company’s operating units. Call of Duty Executive Vice President and General Manager, Rob Kostich, has been named President of Activisation. Humam Sakhnini has been named President of King Digital Entertainment, having most recently served as both Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategy Office of the operating unit. The company also named Denis Durkan as President of Activisation Blizzard’s Emerging Business, in addition to his role as Chief Financial Officer of the company.

Rory Stirling becomes Partner at a venture capital firm Connect Ventures. He previously served as Partner at MMC Ventures and BGF Ventures.

Digital healthcare service Babylon Health has appointed Adam Rostom as its Chief Marketing Officer. Adam previously served as Managing Director at OVO Energy.

Apple has appointed Andrew Kim to lead its design division. Andrew most previously served as a Senior Manager in Design at Tesla.

Online Media Company iTech Media has appointed Alan Cairns as its new COO. Previously Alan served as a Venture Partner at Octopus Ventures.

King has appointed Tjodolf Sommestad for the role of Chief Development Officer. He previously served as SVP Candy Crush Franchise and Central Studios.

Dating platform Spark Networks has appointed Luciana Telles as its new Chief Marketing Officer. Luciana most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer at Uniplaces.

Zoopla has appointed Gary Bramall for the role of CMO. Gary previously served as a CMO at Mytaxi.

Creative coding technology company Kano Computing has appointed Mal Minhas for the role of VP Engineering. Mal most recently served as Senior Manager of Software Development at Amazon.

Google has hired David Feinberg as its new VP of Google Health. David previously served as CEO at Geisinger Health.

Revolut has hired André Mohamed as its new Head of Wealth & Trading Product. He is the former CTO and a co-founder of Freetrade.

Missguided has appointed Nicola Tibbs as its new Head of Ecommerce. Nicola is the former Head of Ecommerce at Dawsons Music.

Soloplan, a company that specialises in logistics software, has appointed Fabian Heidl as its new CEO. He’s been working at Soloplan since 2006, where his most recent position was Strategic Head of Sales.

Employee experience platform Perkbox has appointed Jacques Stern as its Non-Executive Director on the Perkbox Board. Jacques is the former Global CEO of Edenred.

Digital money transfer company WorldRemit has confirmed the appointment of the former boss of Paddy Power Betfair Breon Corcoran as its Chief Executive.

Vestiaire Collective has appointed Maximilian Bittner as CEO. Bittner is the founder of Lazada Group, Southeast Asia’s leading ecommerce company.

SaaS core banking platform Ohpen has appointed Matthijs Aler as its CEO. Prior to joining Ohpen he held several positions at BinckBank including Managing Director of The Netherlands and CEO France.

ASOS has appointed former Britvic CFO Mathew Dunn for the role of Chief Financial Officer.

Software AG has appointed Bernd Gross for the role of Chief Technology Officer. He joined Software AG as CEO and Co-Founder of the IoT platform Cumulocity through an acquisition in 2017. Software AG has also announced that Paz Macdonald has joined as Chief Marketing Officer. She was most recently VP of Marketing for EMEA and APAC at hybrid cloud database vendor MongoDB.
