Industry Moves: March 2019

Real estate company Purplebricks has appointed Vic Darvey as Group Chief Operating Officer. Vic is the former Managing Director at MoneySuperMarket.

Machine learning powered staffing platform Catapult has hired Stephanie Aslan as Marketing Director. Previously Stephanie served as Head of Event Marketing at Onfido and Senior Event Marketing Manager at Twilio.

Google has appointed Scott Beaumont to head its Asia-Pacific business. Scott previously served as CEO at Refresh Mobile.

European IT services company Atos has appointed Elie Girard as its new Deputy CEO. Elie is the former Chief Financial Officer at Atos.

Zalando has hired Jim Freeman as CTO and David Schröder as CFO. Jim previously served as VP Engineering at Zalando, having formerly led the launch of Amazon Prime Video. David has been working at Zalando for nine years, lately as VP Operations.

Computer software company Bolero International has appointed Andrew Raymond as new CEO. Andrew is the former Global Head of Sales at Bolero and Sales Director at FIS.

Aviva has hired Maurice Tulloch as CEO. Maurice previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Aviva UK and Ireland General Insurance business.

Fintech business NewDay has appointed John Hourican as CEO. Previously John served as CEO of Bank of Cyprus.

Following the sudden death of Ian Bowles, education software supplier Tribal has appointed Mark Pickett as its new CEO. Pickett had joined the company as Chief Financial Officer in July 2016.

Computer services provider Computacenter has appointed Peter Ryan as Chairman. Over the last 11 years, Ryan had held roles such as Chief Sales Officer with Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Chief Client Officer at Logica.

LendInvest as hired Arman Tahmassebi as its Chief Operating Officer. Arman is the former CEO at ETX Capital and COO at London Capital Group.

Amazon has appointed Indra Nooyi to its Board. Indrea is the former CEO of PepsiCo Inc.

Gumtree has appointed Arman Abbasi as its new Head of Engineering and Alastair Bradley as Site Operations Manager. Arman is the former Head of Engineering at PhotoBox and Alastair is the former Engineering Manager at Hitachi Vantara.

Matrixx Software has appointed Marc Price as its new CTO. Marc is the former Chief Technology Officer Americas at Openet.

Industry software and platform provider EveryMatrix has confirmed the appointment of Rafael Campuzano as its new Chief Technology Officer. Rafael previously served as CTO and Head of Software Development at Bit8.

IBM has appointed Natalie Lingo Kerris at is new Vice President of Technology. Natalie previously served as Vice President of Global Communications at Twitter and Head of Worldwide Corporate Communications at Apple.

Healthcare software provider EMIS Group has appointed Suzy Foster as its new CEO and Bob Brown to the newly created role of Chief Solutions Officer. Suzy previously held senior roles at Microsoft UK and ran their healthcare business for four years. Bob previously held senior positions at Aviva, Accenture and HCL.

Enterprise automation company Landing.ai has hired Gopi Prashanth as its new VP of Engineering. Gopi is the former Director of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision at Amazon.

Computer software company Trifacta has appointed Paul Roberts at its new Vice President of EMEA. Prior to this role, Roberts held senior leadership positions at SAP, MicroStrategy and Cognos.

Cybersecurity company Proofpoint has appointed Martin Mackay as its new SVP EMEA. Martin is former General Manager AsiaPac & Japan at CA Technologies.

Internet company Likewise has appointed Brian Draggoo as its Chief Marketing Officer. Brian is the former VP of Marketing Europe at Funding Circle.

Computer games company Creative Assembly has appointed Rob Bartholomew as its new Chief Product Officer. Rob previously served as Studio Brand Director at Creative Assembly.

German broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 has appointed Nick Thexton to the newly created position of Chief Technology Officer. Thexton joins the media company from satellite operator Inmarsat, where he has been Chief Digital & Product Officer.

Fashion firm Boohoo has appointed John Lyttle as its new CEO. John will join the company from Primark, where he has been Chief Operating Officer for eight years.

Footwear brand Mahabis has appointed Iain Martin, as its new Chief Executive. Iain previously served as Managing Director at Moonpig.

Full Fibre broadband Gigaclear has appointed Gareth Williams as its new CEO. Gareth is the former CEO of Interoute which is one of Europe’s largest fibre networks.

Sofar Sounds has hired Jim Lucchese as its new CEO. Jim previously served as CEO at The Echo Nest for Spotify.
