PE backed train ticket provider The Trainline has appointed James Moore as General Manager UK. James is the former GM for Amazon Tickets and Senior Director Global Marketing for eBay.

Oath, the digital content business that owns AOL and Yahoo’s content businesses, has appointed Anna Watkins as Managing Director UK. Anna is the former CEO of Mofilm and the former Managing Director of Guardian Labs.

Online property investment platform Property Partner has appointed Marshall King as CEO. Marshall was the former CEO Europe for TPG-backed Searchflow.

Leading online fashion business Yoox has appointed Giueseppe Tamola as Global Brand and Marketing Director. Giuseppe is the former country manager for Spain, Italy and Poland with Zalando.

VC backed online property marketplace Uniplaces has appointed Cyril Jessua as CEO. Cyril is the former MD France for Groupon and CEO of OPnGO.

Cloud services provider Brightcove has appointed Charles Chu as Chief Product Officer. Charles is the former Head of Research and Development for PTC.

Venture capital firm Octopus Ventures has appointed Alan Cairns as Venture Partner. Alan is the former Chief People Officer for Moo.com and the former Group HR Director for Moneysupermarket.com

Boots has appointed Sebastian James as Managing Director. Sebastian is the former CEO of Dixons Carphone, a substantial role where he led a $15bn revenue business.

Brickvest, the online property investment portal has appointed Morten Moller Holst as COO. Morten is the former Managing Director of Diva Ventures.

Online insurer Esure has appointed Nick Hugh as a Non-Executive Director. Nick is currently CEO of Telegraph Media Group.

ZenithOptimedia, the digital marketing agency, has appointed Rian Shah as UK MD. Rian is the former Chief Strategy Officer for digital agency OMD.

Digital advertising technology business Quantcast has appointed Sam Barnett as Chief Product Officer. Sam is the former CEO and founder of Struq.

Advent International owned Laird have appointed Mike Bell as CTO. He was previously President of Devices and IoT at leading open source software business Canonical.

Digital music provider Kobalt has appointed Rian Liebenberg as CTO. Rian was formerly at Schibsted Media Group as CTO and Chief Platform Officer.

eSports provider Gfinity has appointed Graham Wallace as COO. Graham was formerly CFO and COO with Manchester City FC.

Fintech business MarketInvoice appoints Rija Javed as CTO. Rija joins from Silicon Valley based fintech start-up Wealthfront.

Virgin Atlantic has appointed Shai Weiss as CEO. He was promoted from his current position of EVP and Chief Commercial Officer.

Confused.com, the price comparison business has appointed Sam Day as Chief Marketing Officer. Sam is the former Director of Customer Acquisition for the RAC.

Online gambling business Rank Group has appointed John O’Reilly as its new CEO. John is the former MD of Gala Coral’s Interactive division.

Swiss mobile payments business Twint has appointed Markus Klib as CEO. Markus was formerly Head of Unicredit Family Financing Bank in Germany.

Cinven-backed online marketplace Allegro has appointed Francois Nuyts as CEO. Francois was formerly MD of Amazon Spain and Italy.

E-commerce software provider ChannelGrabber has appointed Mike Morgan as CEO. Mike was formerly CEO of Channelsphere.

Substantial German fintech business Kreditech has appointed Giles Andrews as Chairman. Giles is the co-founder, former CEO and current Chairman at UK fintech business Zopa.

Financial services software provider Intelligent Environments has appointed Jeremy Young as CEO. Jeremy was formerly VP EMEA for Fiserv.
