eBay has hired Jan Pedersen as its Vice President and Chief Scientist for Artificial Intelligence. Prior to eBay, Pedersen served as VP of Data Science at Twitter leading investment in data analytics and machine learning infrastructure.
Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has appointed Michelle Spillane as its new Marketing & Brand Director for the UK & Ireland. Spillane has joined Paddy Power from Irish national TV broadcaster Raidió Teilifís Éireann, where she served as Director of Global Marketing.
Online fashion retailer Net-a-Porter has appointed Nayla Touma to be its new Buying Director. Touma had been with Bergdorf Goodman for five years, starting off as buyer for advanced contemporary and designer shoes.
Deliveroo has appointed Inés Ures as CMO. She is the former Chief Customer Officer of a hair and beauty bookings marketplace Treatwell.
Netflix has hired Spencer Neumann as its new CFO. He is the former CFO of Activision Blizzard.
PayPal has hired former Apple marketer Allison Johnson as its first CMO and Executive Vice President. Allison has joined PayPal from West, a marketing and venture capital firm.
Online bank Monzo has appointed financial market veteran Gary Hoffman as its Chairman. Hoffman held executive roles at Barclays and is currently Non-Executive Chairman of Coventry Building Society.
