We have only used data on employees based in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and candidates based outside of these geographies are not counted as part of our statistics.
The data in this report is based on data from LinkedIn and it is worth noting that whilst many people have a LinkedIn profile, not every employee of every mobile games company has an accurate, up to date profile. It is best therefore to view the statistics within this report as being indicative of patterns and trends rather than being wholly accurate and complete statistics to be taken as fact.
The data used in this report has been collated during June 2026, and we will provide updated reports every six months.

The Fastest Growing Companies by Genre
The latest data shows that Türkiye remains the biggest hub for rapidly growing mobile games companies in EMEA. This is consistent with the previous report six months ago, with Israel again emerging as the next most represented market.
Türkiye’s strength is not only driven by obvious new scale-ups such as Grand Games and TaleMonster Games. The list also includes more established names such as Vertigo Games, which shows that the country’s growth is not limited to a new generation of startups. Alongside this, the wider list includes several older mobile games companies, such as Snowprint Studios and CoolGames, both of which have been operating for more than a decade.
Another interesting finding this time is genre. Half of the fastest-growing companies are focused on puzzle games, reflecting the size and popularity of the category within mobile. However, puzzle is also a highly competitive genre, and not an easy market to win. Some of the companies on the list stand out by taking a more distinctive approach. Triband, for example, is a comedy game maker with a focus on platforms such as Apple Arcade and Steam, rather than the typical free-to-play mobile model.
Overall, however, growth appears more modest than in the previous edition. Six months ago, the list included three companies growing by more than 100%. This time, even the leading companies are growing at a slower pace. That does not mean the market is weak, but it may suggest that even highly active ecosystems such as Türkiye and Israel are beginning to mature compared with one or two years ago.
At Neon River, we work closely with mobile games companies at exactly these moments of inflection - from early scale-up through to international growth. With deep experience partnering with studios such as King, Miniclip, Wooga, Ten Square Games and Metacore, we see these ecosystem dynamics first-hand and help teams build the leadership and technical capability required to grow sustainably in challenging markets.
