About Fortnox
Fortnox is a Swedish cloud-based business software provider offering accounting, invoicing, payroll, financial management and broader ERP solutions to businesses and accounting firms. Founded in Växjö in 2001, the company has grown from an online bookkeeping provider into a broader business platform delivered primarily through a SaaS model. Its platform also connects with more than 400 external development partners, allowing customers to build customised ERP environments around Fortnox.
The company was acquired in 2025 by a consortium led by EQT X and First Kraft, valuing the company at around SEK 55bn ($5.51bn). Following the transaction, the consortium gained control of more than 97% of Fortnox and the company was delisted from Nasdaq Stockholm in July 2025. Fortnox has continued to expand its platform through acquisitions, including its 2026 purchase of e-commerce integration software provider Sharespine.
