Fabian Hedin

Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer
Lovable
AI No-code Builder

Career History

Fabian Hedin is Co-founder and CTO of Lovable, the Swedish AI startup that turns natural language prompts into working applications. First released on GitHub with co-founder Anton Osika, the tool quickly gained wide attention among developers and became one of Europe’s notable AI successes. Within a year of launch, Lovable grew to roughly $100m in annual recurring revenue. Its AI-driven code generation lets consumer-tech and startup teams compress development cycles - from idea to live product - in days rather than months.

Before founding Lovable, he ran a consulting business, where he released a property management program aimed at assisting both owners and tenants in the Swedish rental market, called TenFAST. Following his graduation, alongside his other commitments, he worked as Frontend Lead at Depict, an AI company providing merchandising and search for e-commerce.

Hedin graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2021. Prior to starting university, he was an Algorithm Engineer for VIKON Vibrationkonsult AB, a Web Developer at Sjukvårdskonsulterna, and an intern at ABB Robotics. His earliest financial success came at just 11 years old, when he earned thousands of dollars from Minecraft.

About Lovable

Lovable (originally GPT Engineer) is a web-based platform that uses AI to generate application code from plain language descriptions, allowing users to build websites and apps directly from prompts. It is used by developers, startups, and product teams to speed up delivery, whether they need frontend, backend or database code generation.

The company was founded in Stockholm in 2023, growing out of GPT Engineer, an open-source AI code-generation project. It rebranded as Lovable at the end of 2024 to distinguish itself from the crowded “GPT” space and subsequently launched its commercial platform.

Lovable has grown rapidly since raising $228m and reaching a $1.8bn valuation in July 2025. By August 2026, it had raised a further $400m at a $13.3bn valuation, while annualised revenue reached $500m in June.
