Career History

David Power is Chief Technology Officer of Nscale, the UK-based AI infrastructure company building large-scale computing infrastructure for AI workloads. He joined the company as CTO in February 2024 and brings more than 20 years of experience in high-performance computing (HPC). His expertise spans the full stack - from hardware and data centre design to workload orchestration. At Nscale, he has been closely involved in developing the technology behind its AI cloud and data-centre infrastructure as the company has scaled rapidly across Europe and North America.

Before joining Nscale, Power was CTO of EscherCloudAI, having previously served as Head of HPC and AI at EscherCloud. Earlier, he held strategic and advisory roles at genomic data software company PetaGene. He also served for a decade on the advisory board of the Irish Supercomputing List, advancing HPC adoption and standards.

Power holds a Master’s degree from the University of Limerick, where his studies focused on distributed genetic algorithms.

In July 2026, the company agreed to acquire AI software company Anyscale, adding its software platform and approximately 200 employees as Nscale expands from infrastructure into a broader full-stack AI cloud offering.
