Gaming for Good - powering up more wishes
For many critically ill children, gaming is a lifeline: connection, escape and inclusion during the toughest times. Together with Make-A-Wish UK, we’re inviting games leaders to help grant more gaming-related wishes.
Why gaming matters to the children Make-A-Wish UK supports
Make-A-Wish UK believes that gaming is more than just a hobby for the children they support, it’s a lifeline. For many critically ill children, gaming provides connection, escape, and inclusion during some of the most challenging times in their lives. When treatment or hospitalisation isolates a child, gaming allows them to interact with friends and family. It provides a few precious hours of immersion, where they can feel empowered and free, rather than defined by their illness.
Over recent years, they have seen a dramatic rise in gaming-related wishes. From custom-built PCs and consoles to once-in-a-lifetime experiences like meeting streamers or becoming a game designer for a day, to attending key Gaming events, these wishes offer children the chance to return to a sense of normality and joy.
Industry collaboration that changes lives
Partnerships with gaming companies, platforms and creators power this work - raising funds, donating equipment, volunteering expertise, and mobilising communities. Examples include Miniclip (sponsorships, employee engagement and in-game promotions) and Ebuyer (donating equipment). During Wish200Week, the community rallies through livestreams, challenges and promotions - raising critical funds and awareness across the UK.
- Gaming campaigns have raised £1.5m+.
- A recent drive raised nearly £500,000, directly funding 100 wishes.
- Wishes include dream setups, creator meet-ups, play sessions, game-tester days and more.

Their team will work with you to align your giving to what matters most - whether that’s honouring someone special, celebrating a milestone, or expressing their passion for gaming and its ability to inspire and heal.
