HENRIC SUURONEN
Career History
Play Ventures is one of the most active venture capital firms in gaming, specialising in early-stage investments across mobile, PC, console and Web3 titles. It was co-founded in 2018 by Henric Suuronen, a veteran of the mobile gaming industry and former entrepreneur. Before establishing Play Ventures, Suuronen founded Nonstop Games in 2012, which he later sold to King in 2014. Following the acquisition, he joined King as Senior Creative Director, gaining first-hand experience scaling live mobile titles for a global audience.
At Play Ventures, Suuronen applies his creative and operational background to identify and support emerging founders building the next generation of gaming companies. The firm has invested in more than 60 studios worldwide and continues to focus on founders with a strong understanding of player engagement and long-term live operations. Based in Helsinki, Suuronen remains closely involved in mentoring portfolio companies and shaping investment strategy.
