Soner Aydemir

Dream Games is one of the most successful mobile games companies in the world, best known for its flagship puzzle title Royal Match. Co-founded in Istanbul in 2019 by Soner Aydemir and a team of former Peak Games executives, the company has grown rapidly under his leadership to become one of the most widely played developers in the sector.

Aydemir had previously served as Product Director at Peak Games, where he helped design and scale its casual titles before the company’s $1.8bn acquisition by Zynga in 2020. As Chief Executive Officer, he has overseen the launch and growth of Royal Match and its follow-up, Royal Kingdom. Royal Match has generated more than $7bn in lifetime player spending, while Royal Kingdom reached $766m in July 2026, less than two years after its global launch.

Aydemir holds a BSc in Computer Engineering from Koç University.

Founded in 2019, Dream Games has emerged as one of Europe’s most commercially significant mobile games studios, building its business around a small number of highly polished casual puzzle titles. Royal Match has become one of the highest-grossing mobile games globally, while Royal Kingdom, launched worldwide in 2024, has quickly developed into a substantial second franchise.

In May 2025, CVC Capital Partners agreed to acquire a majority stake in Dream Games, valuing the business between $4bn and $5bn, with debt financing from Blackstone and others. The investment is expected to fund further global expansion and the continued growth of the Royal Match and Royal Kingdom franchises.
