Carolin Krenzer

Trailmix Games is a London-based mobile games studio best known for its breakout hit Love and Pies, a narrative-driven merge game combining puzzle mechanics with storytelling and character development. The company was co-founded in 2017 by Carolin Krenzer and Tristan Clark, with Krenzer serving as CEO from its founding. Under her leadership, Trailmix focused on creating uplifting, enduring games that emphasise warmth, inclusivity and emotional engagement.

In September 2026, Krenzer moved into the role of Executive Chair, with former COO James Nicholas succeeding her as CEO. She remains a director of the Trailmix group and continues to support the company’s long-term strategy.

Before founding Trailmix, Krenzer spent five years at King, where she helped expand the company’s global presence and went on to establish King’s London development studio. Her experience in building creative teams and scaling successful franchises has been central to shaping Trailmix’s collaborative culture and long-term vision. In 2022, Supercell acquired a majority stake in Trailmix, providing strategic backing while allowing the studio to maintain full creative independence.

Founded in 2017, Trailmix Games has built a distinctive reputation for story-led, emotionally rich mobile games. Its debut title, Love and Pies, has been praised for its inclusive cast, character-driven storytelling and the depth it brings to the merge-puzzle genre.

Supercell’s 2022 investment gave the Finnish gaming group a majority stake in Trailmix, enabling the studio to expand development capacity and accelerate new projects. Trailmix continues to operate independently, focusing on building positive, player-first experiences that aim to stand out in an increasingly competitive global mobile gaming market.
