Career History

Mei Dent is Chief Product & Technology Officer of TeamViewer, the German software company best known for remote connectivity and digital workplace solutions. She joined the company in August 2023 and is responsible for its product and technology organisation, bringing more than 30 years of experience across enterprise software, engineering and product development.

Before joining TeamViewer, Dent spent almost four years at customer communications software company Doxim, backed by GI Partners. She initially served as Senior Vice President of Engineering before becoming Chief Technology Officer in 2021. Prior to this, she spent more than 24 years at OpenText, progressing from Senior Developer and Team Lead to Vice President of Research and Development. During her time there, she held leadership responsibility across areas including enterprise architecture, product development, performance, security, and user experience.

Dent began her career as a Software Developer at IBM, working on desktop development tools for AS/400 systems. She holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Western University, where her studies included artificial intelligence, search and information retrieval, and a Bachelor’s degree from Tianjin University.

TeamViewer is a German software company best known for its remote access and support software. Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Göppingen, its software enables businesses to remotely access, monitor and support computers, mobile devices and industrial equipment. The company has since expanded beyond remote access into areas including digital employee experience (DEX), endpoint management, augmented reality and AI-powered IT support.

A major recent step was the acquisition of London-based 1E for an enterprise value of €686m, completed in 2025. The deal added digital employee experience technology to TeamViewer’s portfolio and supported the launch of TeamViewer ONE, a unified digital workplace platform combining remote connectivity, endpoint management, DEX and AI. The company generated €747m in reported revenue in 2025.
