Career History

Alex Kaluzny joined Doctolib in 2021 as Chief Technology Officer. Since stepping into the C-suite, he has led innovations to improve Doctolib’s appointment search system, including precomputing available time slots to reduce latency in search, serving results in real time and improving how patients see earliest available appointments on the platform.

Before joining Doctolib, Kaluzny spent almost six years at Expedia Group’s corporate travel business Egencia. He initially joined as Chief Technology Officer in 2015 before becoming Chief Product and Technology Officer in 2019, taking responsibility across both product and engineering.

Prior to Expedia, Kaluzny spent 15 years at Orbitz Worldwide, progressing from Software Engineer through a series of increasingly senior technology leadership roles before becoming Vice President of Technology in 2010.

He holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

The company generated around €348m in annual recurring revenue in 2024, representing growth of more than 20% year on year. By 2026, the platform served roughly 90 million patients and 420,000 healthcare professionals across Europe.

Doctolib was valued at €5.8bn following a €500m financing round in 2022. In 2026, employees and early investors sold around €300m of shares in a secondary transaction that reportedly valued the company at approximately €3.6bn.
