Career History
Oriel Bachar is Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of PAPAYA, a leading developer and publisher of skill-based mobile games founded in Tel Aviv in 2018. Since the company’s inception, he has led its growth from a start-up into one of the fastest-growing businesses in the global mobile gaming industry, known for combining competitive gameplay with accessible casual formats.
Under Bachar’s leadership, PAPAYA has expanded rapidly across Israel, Poland, the UK and the US, growing to more than 480 employees while maintaining strong creative and operational cohesion. The company’s platform now hosts around 20m tournaments daily, supported by a growing catalogue of skill-based titles including Solitaire Cash. Its consistent growth, strong performance and high employee retention reflect a disciplined and data-driven approach to live operations and product design.
Before founding PAPAYA, Bachar held senior roles in Israel’s technology sector, where he developed expertise in product strategy and user engagement. He holds a BBA from Reichman University (IDC Herzliya).
